KFL Meeting September 8th

Please note that our regular monthly meeting will be held on the 2^nd Monday of the month instead of the first this month due to the Labor Day holiday. That means our next meeting is Monday August 8th @ 7pm at 6706 Central Avenue Pike. Doors open at 6:30pm to socialize with old friends and make some new ones. We will host 2 speakers this month! Sheri Super, candidate for District 3 County Commission, and Bernie Lyon, candidate for Knox County Sheriff, will be joining us to discuss their campaigns and answer questions. Bring some friends and come learn more about the candidates running for office in our community!

Pray Without Ceasing

We hope some of you were able to attend the statewide Pray4TN event in Nashville on August 2^nd. Even though the designated month of prayer is over for this year, that doesn’t mean that Knox County can’t continue meeting together to pray. Plans are underway to organize a quarterly collaborative prayer in our county. Stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Advance Knox Meetings

As you all know, Knox for Liberty (and many others) opposed the Advance Knox initiative. But, thanks to our County Mayor, their plans to “shape” the growth in Knox County continue. Be sure you make time to take advantage of their upcoming Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Public Open House Meetings to provide your feedback. Don’t miss this opportunity!

September 11th @ 5pm, Summer Place Building, 500 W. Summit Hill Dr. Knox County School Board will meet for their regular monthly meeting.

September 22^nd @ 5pm, Main Assembly Room of the City-Council Building, 400 Main St SW. Knox County Commission will hold their regular monthly meeting.
