Make Voting a Priority Again
If you haven’t already voted, it isn’t too late. Election Day is coming up on November 5th . If you need to confirm your polling location or your voting district, visit kgis.org and use the Voting Location Search tool. Set a reminder, mark your calendar, and make sure your like-minded friends and family vote as well! And, ask your pastor to remind everyone on Sunday!
Wave Those Flags
Come join us for some patriotic fun tomorrow morning (November 2nd ) from 9-11am in front of West Town Mall at the corner of Montvue & Kingston Pike. We’ll be waving flags and spreading our enthusiasm for faith, family, and freedom. Contact Jesse ([email protected]) for more info.
KFL Leadership Update
It is with great sadness that we announce changes in our leadership team. Crystal, our Vice Chair and one of our founders, has stepped away from leadership to focus her time and efforts on family and friends experiencing health issues. She has been an amazing leader and an integral part of KFL. While she will still be cheering us on from the sidelines, we will most certainly miss her presence and her incredible project management skills. We request prayers for healing for her loved ones.
Also, our marketing leader Amanda has recently married and is stepping away from leadership to complete her doctorate degree and settle in to her new role as a wife. We are extremely happy for Amanda and her husband, but we’ll miss her energy and boldness for God.
We are looking for volunteers to fill these positions and ask that you help us pray for God to send energetic warriors to help us continue in our mission to protect faith, family, and freedom in Knox County. If you are interested in joining our leadership team, please reach out to Tracey at [email protected].
Time to Roar
Please take these opportunities to get involved in Knox County and make your voice heard.
November 4th @ 4:45pm, 3400 Western Ave. Senator Marsha Blackburn will host a Get Out the Vote Dinner at Vol Market #3. Also expected to attend are Congressman Tim Burchett and several other state and local officials.
November 11th @ 10:40am, Gay Street. The American Legion Post 2 will host their 99th Veteran’s Day Parade, which will step off at 10:40am. Be sure to get there early for a good viewing spot on Gay Street.
November 11th @ 7pm, 6706 Central Ave Pike. Join us at the next Knox for Liberty Meeting. Meet and greet starts at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7:00. We’ll be discussing the election results and how to prepare for the 2025 TN General Assembly Legislative Session. There is much work to do in our county and our state.
November 18th @ 5pm, City-County Building. Knox County Commission will hold their regular monthly meeting. On the agenda for this month is the resolution to protect children sponsored by Commissioner Rhonda Lee from District 7. Also, don’t forget that the Planning Commission has now hired an outside consulting company to survey our community about “reducing emissions” in East Tennessee. Any of the “climate change” agenda is in direct violation of Tennessee law via Public Chapter No 479 and Senate Bill No 1147 effective 5/17/23, which reads, “As enacted, prohibits this state and its political subdivisions from adopting or implementing policy recommendations that deliberately or inadvertently infringe or restrict private property rights without due process, as may be required by policy recommendations originating in, or traceable to, "Agenda 21," adopted by the United Nations in 1992 at its Conference on Environment and Development, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the U.N.'s proposal to reach net zero emissions by 2050, or any other international law or ancillary plan of action that contravenes the constitution of the United States or the constitution of this state.” - Amends TCA Title 4; Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 66 and Title 68. Please email your commissioner about these important issues and show up for this meeting. You can sign up to speak by calling 865-215-2534 or submitting a request on their online contact form no later than 4pm on the day prior to the meeting.
