January 2024

Recent Achievements

Knox for Liberty volunteers continue to champion faith, family, and freedom:

· Our Government team is planning our monitoring process for the upcoming Tennessee legislative session, which begins January 9. Please watch our social channels (see links below) for Calls to Action during the session, so you can participate in supporting and opposing bills that will impact your liberty here in Tennessee.

· Our Leadership Team has been growing the Tennessee Conservative Grassroots Coalition (TCGC) with like-minded groups in East Tennessee. We published the first press release for this group, which was republished by the Tennessee Conservative and has gotten the attention of local media.

· Our Marketing team has been busy making more Hot Knox Minutes and posts on our social media channels. We’ve also been making updates to our website and opened our newest channel on Spotify. Be sure to like and share these posts!

· Our Membership team wants to thank everyone who brought treats and gifts to our Christmas party and participated in the scavenger hunt and the Christmas questions. It was a fun opportunity to get to know your fellow patriots better.

· Our Recruitment team thanks everyone who came out to decorate our vehicles and wave to the crowds lined up for the Christmas parades in Gibbs, Powell, Karns, and Halls. In spite of the rain, our freedom-loving spirit showed clearly to all.

Upcoming Events

Please mark your calendar and join us Monday, January 8th, for our monthly meeting at 6706 Central Avenue Pike. Meet and greet starts at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7:00. This month we’ll have a short meeting, followed by US Congressman Tim Burchett who will speak on several hot-button issues. He will be followed by multiple Knox County candidates, who will introduce themselves briefly and then answer questions. Voting for the primary begins on February 14. Be sure to come and meet these candidates so you can be an informed voter.

Volunteers Needed

· Marketing – If you would like to make graphics, write articles, or produce videos, email Tracey at [email protected].

· Government – If you would like to be a government watchdog, reporting on local government meetings, like the county commission, contact Crystal at [email protected].

· Membership – If you would like to welcome new people to our group, help setup for the meetings, and make sure everyone is connecting, contact Karen at [email protected]. She is also the contact if you are interested in volunteering on election integrity.

· Recruiting – If you would like to wave a flag, staff a booth, or join in a parade, reach out to Jesse at [email protected]. Also, contact Jesse to share local events that would be good places to reach like-minded patriots.

Off the Couch Opportunity

This month’s way to help us take action is super easy. Just go to this link: https://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/Apps/fml2022/search.aspx and identify your state representative and senator. Then, add their contact information to your cell phone. Now you’re ready for our calls to action when the legislative session begins. Let’s roar, liberty lions!
