Knox for Liberty Newsletter December 2023

Recent Achievements

Knox for Liberty volunteers continue to champion faith, family, and freedom:

· Our Government Oversight team hosted our first Knox for Liberty Town Hall on November 10th. We were joined by TN Senators Becky Massey and Richard Briggs, TN Representative Elaine Davis, 6th District Senate Candidate Monica Irvine, Knox County Law Director Candidate Daniel Herrera, and a spokesperson for US Senator Marsha Blackburn. Our thanks go to all those who volunteered, participated, and came out to support civic engagement in our county.

· Our Leadership Team has been building the Tennessee Conservative Grassroots Coalition (TCGC) with like-minded groups in East Tennessee. This month, we’ve added groups from Washington and Hamblen counties to the founding nine. We look forward to speaking with a LOUD voice during the upcoming TN legislative session. Keep an eye out for our press release.

· Our Digital Media team has been busy making Hot Knox Minutes (quick videos) and posts on our social media channels. We’ve also been making updates to our website. If you have suggestions for future posts or Hot Knox Minutes, send them to [email protected].

· Our Membership team has been busy planning our Christmas party for December 4th, with fun for all. See more details below.

· Our Outreach team is planning to celebrate the holiday and our freedom at several local Christmas parades. Our thanks to everyone who volunteers at our events, promotes KFL, and recruits new members.

Upcoming Events

Please mark your calendar and join us:

Monday, December 4th, for our monthly meeting at 6706 Central Avenue Pike. Meet and greet starts at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7:00. This month we’ll have a short meeting, focusing on our 2023 achievements, including the recent Town Hall and the latest on the Tennessee Constitutional Grassroots Coalition. Then, we’ll enjoy some Christmas treats and games. You are welcome to bring munchies to share. This is the best opportunity of the year to meet local, freedom-loving people; so, if you’ve never attended, come out and bring a friend.

Saturday, December 2nd at 8AM for the Karns Christmas parade and at 4PM for the Powell parade, then Sunday, December 3rd at 1:30PM for the Gibbs Christmas parade, and Saturday, December 9th at 5pm for the Halls parade. Choose 1, 2, 3, or all 4 fun-filled events. The more volunteers we have, the better impression we make in our community. Contact [email protected] to participate.

Note: The GOP Executive Committee will meet on Saturday, January 20th . If you want to see the inner workings of the party in Knox County, mark you calendar. We’ll share more as details are released.

Volunteers Needed

· Digital Media – If you would like to make memes, write articles, and produce videos, email Tracey at [email protected].

· Government Oversight – Now’s the time to step up and run for office! For the March primary, petitions are due December 14. Our most pressing need is county commission districts 5 and 8, and districts 2, 5, and 8 for school board (see map). For more information, contact Crystal at [email protected].

· Membership – If you would like to welcome new people to our group, help setup for the meetings, and make sure everyone is connecting, contact Karen at [email protected]. She is also the contact if you are interested in volunteering on election integrity.

· Outreach – If you would like to wave a flag, staff a booth, or join in a parade, reach out to Jesse at [email protected]. Also, contact Jesse to share local events that would be good places to reach like-minded patriots.

Liberty Thought

These rich men north of Richmond

Lord knows they all just wanna have total control

Wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do

And they don’t think you know, but I know that you do.
