Knox Zoning Meeting MONDAY
OCTOBER 21ST @ 5pm
Hello, Patriots.
There are lots of issues going on in Knox County right now in need of our attention, from all of our county’s elected officials pushing the “climate change” agenda to the University of Tennessee tax dollars supporting pride parades to the World Economic Forum’s 2030 agenda to create 15-minute cities. So, let’s focus on the last one for today’s call to action.
The Knox County Zoning Committee will be meeting Monday night, October 21st at 5pm at the City-County Building, 400 West Hill Avenue. Our new District 9 Commissioner, Andy Fox, will attempt to set right some illegitimate zoning decisions related to properties owned by Thunder Mountain Property. There has been a clear trend of developers seeming to have carte blanche in Knox County to the detriment of the Knox County citizens, regardless of our input and complaints. Or as our own County Mayor Jacobs has described us in his application for federal HUD funds, “Opposition is often fueled by misinformation and anti-development attitudes.” He believes that we pose significant barriers to progress. His progress. How dare we want to maintain our rural areas and farmlands and refuse to allow our tax dollars to be used to make developers richer?
Well, if you have had enough of elected officials believing that they are in charge of the people instead of working FOR the people, please join us on Monday night. Support responsible development in Knox County, and let the zoning committee know that we are watching, and we vote.
