TCGC Legislative Update

Greetings, Patriots!

The Tennessee General Assembly is underway, and we are watching them closely. But, before we get into our calls to action, we want to thank all of you who made phone calls and sent emails to the House Judiciary Committee regarding the “Monsanto” bill HB0809.

It was amazing to see so many conservatives and other groups working together to stop this bill. While it was taken off notice, that only means that it’s on pause for right now. With all the attention it was gathering, we’re sure they want to wait until they think we’ve forgotten or aren’t watching. So, we need you to continue telling all your friends and family and getting even more people to stand up to stop this terrible threat to our legal freedoms against these giant foreign corporations. We don’t want this bill paused. We want it withdrawn completely.  Ask the sponsors of this bill why they want to strip you of your legal rights and why they want to strip these rights from all of their own family members. It makes no sense.

Now, let’s get into what’s happening next week. There are at least 3 bills in committee in the next few days that need our attention. Please check out our weekly summary document for next steps and a list of what we’re watching.
